Daria

Description

This is a 20″x16″ acrylic painting on stretched canvas. It took me 4 hours and 10 minutes to paint. It is an original painting. Metal wire for hanging will be installed before shipment.

Story:

Daria was born in the 1600’s to a wicked woman who beat her relentlessly. Her mother cursed her for not being born a son that would bring money into the household. As her mother’s only child, she did all of the house work, the cooking, the cleaning, tending to the garden, and the livestock her father had left behind after he passed from sickness. Daria worked from dawn till dusk.

Until one day, when she was 16 years old, a stranger kidnapped her from the farm. The stranger took her to his cabin, far from her home, in remarkable speed. When she questioned why she was taken, she was told that she was being watched and seems like a strong fit for their community. Daria had no idea what he was talking about and before she could get another word out, she was bitten and got transformed into a vampire.

While it got some getting used to, Daria found she enjoyed this life much more, not burdened by her mother’s wrath and had the strength to live however she pleased. She began to see humans just as her livestock that she had to consume. She was given freedom but was required to go to monthly group hunts to keep touch with other vampires.

Over all, Daria is thriving, and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
